necklace2It is no secret that I am a fan of “The Power Necklace” and it looks that runway has finally got the memo. Chunky oversize necklaces were all over the runway from large breastplate styles to the exaggerated chain chokers… I’m lovin’ it. KTZ’s cameo necklaces and Stella’s glass chain were by far my favorites tho.

cuff2So what do you need to go with your statement necklace but an insane metal cuff. I am of the mindset that “more is more” when it comes to jewelry and would not shy away from wearing both trends together. This trend took two definite directions: the wide metal cuff and the metal and stone cage… and both are awesome.

clutch2Not a huge handbag wearer but when I do I want it to make an impact, and these clutches do just that. They are minimalist and at the same time eye catching. **I included the Alexander Wang sneaker bag in the round-up just for good measure…. that bag is fire!

MESSENGER2Or I want my bag to actually be useful… so I was happy to see the messenger bag making an apperance runways again. Slung across the body or on the back these bags fit everything you could ever need and then some…. and that Gucci men’s leather duffle/messenger bag hybrid is amazing! Who says fashion can’t be useful?

flatform1Ok.. fine I will admit I am obsessed with the flatform. First, they just comfortable and easy to wear, no hurt feet at the end of the day, and second, they just look cool. Flatforms remind me of my middle school 90s spice girl days and I am not ashamed to admit it. So I loved seeing this seasons new take on the flatforms, with rugged sneaker-like soles. I want every pair… but will realistically just be saving my duckets for the Margiela version. Love!

SOCKS AND SANDALSsocksI gotta be honest, I once tried this trend on the streets of Brooklyn and some middle school boys laughed at me…. hahaha! But seeing the socks with sandals look showing up again on the runway I will definitely try it again… because why the hell not. And Joseph’s flatforms with 3 stripe socks are so Tomboy BKLYN…. two trends in one! Love it!
